Security and Privacy
This policy addresses three privacy issues. First, the source from which FreedomPay collects information about you. Second, the parties with whom FreedomPay shares this information. Third, the measures that FreedomPay takes to protect your personal information. Please read this policy carefully. By becoming a FreedomPay Member and acknowledging receipt of this statement, you consent to the practices explained in this policy.
Information that FreedomPay Gathers
To participate in the FreedomPay service, you are required to provide us with your name, mailing address, date of birth, gender, either a daytime or evening phone number, email address and a secret question and answer. We collect information from your FreedomPay activities. Our website uses "cookies" which deposit certain record-keeping information on your hard drive. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide such features as tracking your preferences, delivery of content specific to your interests, and for other similar purposes. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once you close your browser, the cookie simply terminates.
The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of FreedomPay's coolest features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
