SkyWire Now Provides PCI-validated P2PE with EMV and NFC Capabilities

skywire-website-header-logo-taglineSkyWire, a Las Vegas based hospitality technology provider, announced today that it has completed the Freeway Commerce Connect (FCC) Certification enabling seamless connectivity to FreedomPay’s Commerce Platform with its point of sale software. FreedomPay’s Commerce Platform is certified for EMV, meaning that with the use of a supported payment device, hospitality merchants will be able to deploy a cost effective PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) payment solution with tokenization that accepts chip card and mobile wallet payments. FreedomPay’s platform delivers three layers of security making it increasingly more difficult for customers and merchants alike to be breached.

With security breaches occurring at every step of the credit card transaction process, encryption at the payment terminal level is vital. SkyWire POS provides customers the ultimate reassurance and protection against fraud as cardholder information is never stored on the application. Additionally, with the FreedomPay integration, sensitive cardholder data is completely encrypted and replaced with surrogate values throughout the approval process, virtually eliminating the risk of having a customer’s credit card information finding its way into the wrong hands.
