This festive season, FreedomPay’s campaign called “Adopt a Family” aims to give some joy back to these families by donating dozens of presents to the children and their mother’s at this special time.

Teams from FreedomPay will come together and will be assigned to either a family or to the CHOP unit to offer voluntary help to those living in local emergency housing shelters. This is the second year FreedomPay headquarters in the city has supported the campaign.

Women Against Abuse Center and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are two of only a handful of charities in the city dedicated to providing help and support to homeless families.

The number of people homeless or living in violent relationships in Philadelphia continues to rise each year, increasing 10 percent each year. Dozens of women need help after fleeing abusive lives or violent relationships.

FreedomPay is supporting these two charities that help provide care, support and safety 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for many of the victims. Often women and mothers with children arrive from violent, oppressive and dangerous situations.

In addition to supporting CHOP and Women Against Abuse Center, FreedomPay participated in Soldiers’ Angels, where employees filled 60 large Christmas stockings with games, books and non-perishable items to be sent to soldiers and veterans.

All the gifts were delivered Monday, December 17th 2018.
