FreedomPay Expands Secure Commerce Platform with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration
FreedomPay Commerce Platform drives innovation across the Microsoft ecosystem; payments, value-added services, security, Azure cloud platform and business intelligence
RADNOR, PA – January 12, 2017 – FreedomPay today announced the integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 with its PCI-validated commerce platform. The Dynamics 365 integration marks a significant milestone in a multi-year strategy to deploy an industry leading commerce platform that delivers world-class security, seamless connectivity to the point-of-sale and real-time data availability with the global scale and accessibility of the Azure cloud platform.
Microsoft and FreedomPay’s collaboration has resulted in the first Azure hosted commerce platform that seamlessly connects online, mobile and in-store point-of-sale networks with a PCI-validated payment gateway which provides point-to-point encryption with EMV, NFC and tokenization support. The platform delivers end-to-end protection for all credit card transactions and is certified for EMV with the major payment processors enabling merchants to bypass their own EMV certification processes and benefit from reduced Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) scope. Further, the Azure hosted solution allows for rapid deployment and scalability based on merchants’ payment volumes and global commerce footprint.
With FreedomPay’s platform integration, which also supports legacy versions, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX and Dynamics Retail Management System 2.0 users can choose from a broad selection of PCI-certified P2PE payment devices from Ingenico or Verifone to solve for the most challenging card present and not-present payment use cases including multi-lane checkout, pay-at-table, customer service department refunding, back-office and call center order fulfillment, and ecommerce shopping.
“As part of our multi-year vision and strategy with Microsoft, we plan on enhancing the platform’s real-time data capabilities throughout 2017,” said Christopher Kronenthal, the chief technology officer at FreedomPay. “The complete story is just starting to be told; commerce is as much about enablement as it is about simply processing a payment. The comprehensive strategy with Microsoft involves demand generation tools for changing consumer behavior, combined with tightly integrated point-of-sale middleware, which then seamlessly integrates into the cloud, for business-first data access and analysis,” says Kronenthal. “Imagine a scenario where you can pull your data from Excel into Power BI to create a report that is directly integrated into the payment stream, and you’re able to publish that report to business users in Office 365, always up-to-date, and accessible on any device. That’s the power of the Microsoft ecosystem, combined with the robustness of the FreedomPay Commerce Platform.”
“Dynamics 365 enables retailers to deliver exceptional customer experiences wherever their customers are – physical stores, online e-commerce websites, social media, mobile applications, call-center and any other touchpoints,” said Brendan O’Meara, senior director, Worldwide Retail at Microsoft. “Adding FreedomPay’s commerce platform integration to our Dynamics 365 product offering provides our mutual customers with innovative, secure commerce solutions that deliver significant business value.”
