Nando’s Selects FreedomPay to Secure Payments Across the United States
FreedomPay expands its food service portfolio with 42 Nando’s locations
(PHILADELPHIA) FreedomPay, the global leader in secure commerce technology for lodging, gaming, retail, restaurants, stadiums and other hospitality merchants, has been selected as the secure payment platform for 42 Nando’s locations across the United States. Nando’s, an international fast casual dining restaurant chain, is switching point of sale to Oracle MICROS SimphonyTM and has selected FreedomPay’s PCI-validated P2PE payment platform for a fully integrated solution. With the selection of FreedomPay, Nando’s is offering the industry’s highest standard of payment security and innovation while meeting the evolving needs of customers.
The FreedomPay Commerce Platform, together with Oracle MICROS Simphony, is a fully integrated PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution, keeping customers’ data secure while working to combat chargebacks and eliminate potential fraudulent activity. In addition to combatting chargebacks, by partnering with FreedomPay, Nando’s will be able to increase their speed of service by offering customer facing EMV payment terminals and eliminating the need to hand cards to the cashier.
“Nando’s is internationally famous for their customer engagement and FreedomPay is pleased to be a part of enhancing this experience by providing a secure, unified payment experience,” said Christopher Kronenthal, FreedomPay President and Chief Technology Officer. “Because Nando’s is using customer facing payment devices, their guests are spending less time in line and more time enjoying their dining experience.”
“By implementing Freedompay at our stores, we are continuing our focus of enhancing security to protect our guest’s credit card data while also improving speed of service and allowing additional payment methods such as Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay,” said Jeremy Nicholson, Director of IT for Nando’s US.
Nando’s is continuing to roll out stores in Illinois and the greater Washington D.C. area, including Maryland and Virginia and will continue to work with FreedomPay to enhance customer experiences and provide world class commerce solutions.
